-Kevin Aguilar: Coming out party for top prospect Aguilar who has a 14-1 pro record and has beat a vast collection of fellow top prospects. Joey Gomez looks like a top prospect with a 7-0 record. But he’s only fought tomato cans. He’s a submission guy. Despite Aguilar being mainly a striker, he has enough experience and I think has improved on his wrestling enough to keep the fight on the feet where he’ll be able to knock Gomez out in the 1st round in spectacular fashion.
-Bevon Lewis: Lewis’ best tool is his wrestling but he also has knockout power as well. Alton Cunningham is a striker. Both are green but Cunningham is really green with a 3-0 pro record. All 3 of his wins came by knockout. One of the toughest skills for most fighters to learn is wrestling if they don’t have a wrestling background. I think Lewis is going to be able to take Cunningham down and will ground and pound him to win via 1st round knockout.
-Ricky Palacios: Real mismatch here. Toby Misech has a pretty underwhelming 9-4 pro record and has lost to some poor competition. Palacios isn’t that great either but both are strikers. Fight will play out on the feet and Palacios will knock Misech out in the 1st round.
-Riley Dutro: Close match up between two fighters whose pro records don’t look like that great, but such is the life of flyweights who usually will have to take on bigger fights in the small shows, because of a lack of 125 lb fighters. Jordan Espinosa is a submission specialist, but runs into problems when his opponent has decent wrestling. I think Dutro is one of those fighters who will be able to keep the fight on the feet. Dutro also has had a breakthrough in his striking over the past couple years with 4 knockout wins in a row. Rare knockout power at flyweight. I think Dutro continues that theme with a 2nd round knockout over Espinosa.
-Jalin Turner: I’m not impressed with either Turner or Max Mustaki. But Turner’s only 23 years old. Has won 4 of his last 5 fights. Only loss was to a legit top prospect. Plus Turner’s stand up will be so much better than Mustaki, who’s more of a well rounded fighter who will fail to get Turner on the ground. 2nd round knockout for Turner.
