Hardy vs Gordon, Moffett vs Kilburn, Smith vs Lowry Fight Picks

-Greg Hardy: The biggest thing to know about Greg Hardy fights is that the UFC wants him to win. So therefore, they will book him in fights where he’s in a spot to succeed. And ironically, Austen Lane who Hardy just knocked out is a tougher opponent than Tebaris Gordon. Yes, Gordon’s win over 4-0 Marvin Skipper was good. And yes, Gordon is probably more well rounded at this point. But Hardy is going to be way stronger and way faster. Too fast for Gordon and I expect a quick 1st round knockout for Hardy.

-Bobby Moffett: If Jacob Kilburn thinks he had problems with journeyman Ruben Warr, who Kilburn got submitted by, he’s really going to have problems with a solid prospect like Moffett. Kilburn is well rounded. 4-1 pro record. 23 years old. And Moffett will be way too much, too soon. Moffett will get this done by submission in the 1st round.

-Devonte Smith: UPSET SPECIAL: Battle of two strikers. But I like Smith’s striking better. I loved his 1 minute knockout over UFC vet Justin Edwards. And his only loss was against wrestling specialist John Gunther. I think this fight stays on the feet and Smith knocks Joseph Lowry out in the 1st round.

-Alex Gilpin: This is a situation where I think a fight with Gilpin is too much, too soon for JR Coughran. Evidence? Coughran is coming off a majority decision win over Daniel Carey, who had a 1-0 pro record. Both Gilpin and Coughran are well rounded, but Gilpin’s got way more experience and has sharper skills. I think Gilpin catches Coughran in a submission in the 2nd round.

-Kennedy Nzechukwu: Dennis Bryant is a striker. 5-1 pro record. Lost to a journeyman fighter. Nzechukwu needs to work on his standup, but his wrestling base is enough to carry him to the win here. Only question is whether he gets the finish. I think he does and gets a 2nd round submission.
