-Terrance McKinney: Tough fight to pick as there’s not much track record for either fighter. McKinney is 4-1. 24 years old. Has average grappling. Adli Edwards is also 4-1. 29 years old. And because of the lack of pro fights, I’m not sure he has any tools that are average or better. He’s got 1 knockout, 1 submission and 2 decision wins. Both only have wins over tomato cans. I feel like Edwards probably has the best tool in the fight with his grappling and will use it to get a 2nd round submission.
-Ramazan Kuramagomedov: Kuramagomedov is an elite prospect. He’s 22 years old. 5-0. Has plus wrestling. Average striking and average submissions, but those tools are likely to develop. He takes on Jordan Williams. 28 years old. 8-2. Has average striking. This fight shouldn’t last long. Kuramagomedov is going to take Williams down and will ground and pound to get the TKO in the 1st round.
-JJ Okanovich: Grappler vs grappler. Although, I’m not sure why Christian Lohsen is getting this shot. He’s 24 years old, which is fine. But his record is 4-1 where he beat 4 tomato cans and lost to a 6-5 fighter. And that was his last fight, losing to a journeyman striker. Okanovich has beat a couple average prospects, which is more than Lohsen. 6-1. 28 years old. Average grappling. I think Okanovich out grapples Lohsen and submits him in the 1st round.
-Jamahal Hill: Alexander Poppeck is 9-2. 27 years old. Has average striking. His 2 losses were against UFC fighter and a legit top prospect. But his last fight kinda soured me on Poppeck as he barely beat a journeyman fighter by split decision. He takes on Hill who’s 5-0. 28 years old. And has above average wrestling. Hill is going to win this fight as Poppeck has never fought a wrestler of Hill’s caliber, but the question is can Hill finish and look good. I say probably not. Hill via decision.
-Billy Quarantillo: Kamuela Kirk could have some potential. 25 years old. 8-2 pro record. Well rounded, but all his tools are below average as of now. All 8 of his wins are finishes. 7 of the 8 are 1st round finishes. The 2 losses Kirk has are against below average fighters. Kirk hasn’t fought a single average prospect. But the book on him so far is that he’s really aggressive in the 1st round and if you can weather the storm, Kirk will gas out in the 2nd half of the fight. Quarantillo is 30 years old. 11-2. Has average striking and grappling. He’s a high floor, low ceiling kind of guy. In this fight, the smart thing for Quarantillo to do is play rope a dope, let Kirk tire himself out and then go for it in the 2nd half. I think Quarantillo will mix up his attacks and out point Kirk to win by decision.
