-Dusko Todorovic: To be blunt, after I looked over Todorovic’s resume, I was already convinced he was going to win this fight and it didn’t matter who the opponent was. Todorovic is 25 years old. 8-0. Knocked out a well rounded 8-0 fighter in just his 3rd pro fight. Has beaten a handful of quality prospects. And has even knocked out UFC fighter Michel Pereira. And not a long time ago, he did it just last December. Elite prospect. Plus striking. One of the better prospects that’s been on the Contender Series. And his opponent Teddy Ash won’t be a challenge at all. Ash is 29 years old. 14-4. All wins over cans. Average striking. Ash’s only chance of winning is to strike with Todorovic and this is going to be over quick. 1st round knockout for Todorovic.
-Kailan Hill: Yes, it’s possible that Impa Kasanganay could win this fight via take downs. Kasanganay is 25 years old. 2-0. Both wins over cans. Average wrestling. But Hill’s career is off to a really good start. He knocked out a 4-1 striker in his 2nd pro fight and knocked out another 4-1 striker in his 3rd pro fight. This fight is tough to predict because it’s hard to know how good Hill’s take down defense is when all he’s fought are strikers. 24 years old. 4-0. Above average striking. I’m going to predict that Kasanganay might get a couple take downs but that Hill will find a way back to his feet and will trade with Kasanganay long enough to knock him out. 1st round.
-Sang Hoon Yoo: Peter Barrett is 33 years old. 8-2. But got submitted by TJ Brown who had a 7-5 record at the time. But even more discouraging is he got knocked out by a well rounded 6-3 fighter. All wins over cans. All tools below average. He takes on Yoo. 29 years old. 5-0. He hasn’t beaten anybody either. But he hasn’t lost to any cans like Barrett has. I grade Yoo as having average striking. He’ll out point Barrett on the feet and win by decision.
-Dustin Joynson: Joynson is 33 years old. 5-0. All wins over cans. Average striking. Ben Sosoli is 29 years old. 6-2. Lost to 2 fighters I’d consider to be below average. All wins over cans. And I think all his tools are below average, but his best tool is his striking. They’re going to stand and trade and I see Joynson knocking him out in the 2nd round.
-TJ Brown: On the one hand, on paper, Brown is one of the worst prospects that’s been on the Contender Series. 29 years old. 10-6. Average grappling. Super inconsistent. One night he can submit a 8-1 striker. And then next get knocked out by an 11-17 journeyman. But the reality is that his opponent Dylan Lockard is beatable. 27 years old. 5-1. And Lockard lost to a 3-3 wrestler. He can be taken down. All tools below average. Brown should win this fight. I’ll go Brown with a 2nd round submission.
