Key Wins: Knocked out a 10-3 grappler and a 7-0 grappler.

Jacoby has only fought once in the last 5+ years. He took a 4 and 1/2 year layoff. Came back June 2019. Beat a 13-4 journeyman. And hasn’t fought since. So where Jacoby’s tools are at, is a big question mark. He was pretty good back in 2011-2014, despite going 0-2 in the UFC. Either way, Flores looks like a legit prospect. He also hasn’t fought in a year, but I think his skills are safer. Flores might be able to get Jacoby on the ground where he’d have an advantage, but even if he can’t, I think Flores will edge Jacoby out in the striking exchanges.

Chris’ Pick: Flores by decision.

Robinson would definitely be in trouble striking with Cross, but Robinson has a wrestling background and I think the tool is good enough to take Cross down and do damage.

Chris’ Pick: Robinson by decision.

Uros Medic vs Mikey Gonzalez
–
Uros Medic
Age: 27
Pro Record: 5-0
Tools: Medic has average striking (50) and fringe average grappling (45).
–
Mikey Gonzalez
Age: 37
Pro Record: 5-1
Tools: Gonzalez has fringe average striking (45).

Gonzalez takes the fight on about a week’s notice. He’s older. Not much experience. Most of his wins have come against fighters with losing records. He also lost a split decision in his 2nd pro fight to a 7-5 wrestler. All of Medic’s wins have come against tomato cans as well, but he seems to be more well rounded and his grappling will make the difference in beating Gonzalez.
–
Chris’ Pick: Medic gets the 2nd round submission win.

Grappling is pretty close to equal here, so that cancels itself out. I think Rodriguez has the better stand up.
–
Chris’ Pick: Rodriguez by 2nd round knockout.

Luke Flores vs Jordan Leavitt

Ground game should cancel itself out here. Leavitt will want to take Flores down and keep him there but I don’t think he’ll be able to. I think this is a stand up fight and Flores has a clear advantage there.
–
Chris’ Pick: Flores knocks Leavitt out in the 1st round.
