Alacabek vs Knight, Weaver vs Smyth, Young vs Alpar Fight Picks

-Herdum Alacabek: I’m picking Alacabek because he’s more of a sure thing. 5-0 pro record. 28 years old. Trains out of All Stars in Sweeden. Has beaten a couple pretty good prospects. Above average striking. Average grappling. William Knight is 31 years old. 4-0 pro record. All wins over cans. Average striking. I see Alacabek as having 2 paths to win here. He probably has the better stand up and could knock Knight out, but if he runs into trouble, I think he could take Knight down too. I’m going with Alacabek by 1st round submission.

-Brok Weaver: Weaver started his career with a 5-3 pro record. Since then he’s gone 7-1. 27 years old. Has average wrestling paired with an average submission game. Devin Smyth has a 4-1 pro record. Smyth lost his pro debut fight to another fighter making their pro debut. 24 years old. Closest tool he has to being average in his grappling. I think Weaver will use his wrestling to keep the fight on the feet. And although I don’t think Weaver’s striking is that great, it’s going to be good enough to out point Smyth. Weaver by decision.

-Shanna Young: Young is 28 years old. 4-1 pro record. Average striking and average wrestling. Her opponent Sarah Alpar is more of a journeywoman than prospect. 28 years old. 7-4 pro record. Closest tool she has to average is wrestling. This is going to be a stand up fight. Young’s striking is much better and she should cruise to a decision win.

-Tony Gravely: Gravely started his career with an 8-4 pro record. But since then has gone 10-1. 27 years old. Has beaten some pretty decent prospects. Has above average striking and average wrestling. Ray Rodriguez is 31 years old. 15-5 pro record. All of his wins have been over below average competition. Currently, his tool that’s closest to average is his grappling. The truth is that Gravely has already beaten a couple fighters that are better than Rodriguez. He’ll have zero issues keeping this fight standing up because of his wrestling and I see Gravely knocking Rodriguez out in the 1st round.

-Julius Anglickas: I don’t see how Karl Reed wins this fight. 30 years old. 3-1 pro record. Lost to a 6-3 grappler. In my opinion, Reed doesn’t have any tools that are average or better. Anglickas is a decent prospect, at least for the thin division of 205 lbs. 4-1 pro record. Lost to a 3-2 grappler. Since then, Anglickas was able to submit a well rounded 3-0 fighter and a well rounded 4-0 fighter. I’d grade Anglickas as having average grappling. I see Anglickas taking Reed down and submitting him. 2nd round.
